The rotating globe and the model Sputnik that orbits it are projected onto the wall through a lens in the middle of the table, while the stars are projected onto the wall by camera obscura holes in the table.
Ignition, Liftoff- Toaster oven, electric typewriter, thermal paper, model space shuttle, rare earth magnets, motor, wood, saw, C clamps, and wood saw.
The typewriter continuously pulls the thermal paper past the toaster oven, which turns the paper black and is viewed as the smoke from the shuttle, which is held in place by magnets.

The images of Halley's Comet, Sputnik, and Monument Valley are projected onto the wall while they are rotated my the second, minute, and hour hands of the clock.
Star Gazin'- Telescope, television, paint, nylon strap, chip board, copper wire, inkjet print, and cotton
When looking through the telescope, the printed image of the space shuttle and the painted television align, creating a background of flickering stars.
